Green Productivity Awards 2026 has been introduced to evaluate and honor organizations with the best Green Productivity (GP) practices. Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Quality and Productivity wishes to invite you to join with this national endeavor which appraises achievements gained through the practical application of Green Productivity concepts.
Objectives of the Green Productivity Awards:
Create awareness of the concepts and benefits of Green Productivity at the enterprise level, while fostering a culture of sustainability and continuous improvement.
Identify and recognize model organizations that have made significant contributions to environmental protection and preservation through the effective implementation of Green Productivity practices.
To acknowledge organizations that demonstrate readiness to face future global challenges by proactively adopting Green Productivity strategies and sustainable business practices.

Classification of Organizations:
Organizations are classified into 3 categories based on the number of employees.
Large-Scale Organizations ‐ more than 250 employees
Medium-Scale Organizations – 51 – 250 employees
Small-Scale Organizations ‐ Up to 50 employees
Prerequisites for Eligibility: (Eligible Sectors are listed in Annex A)
- The business enterprise or part applying for the competition must be a registered company, semi-government or government owned.
- Possess a valid Environmental Protection License (EPL), where applicable to the prescribed activity.
- Possess a Hazardous Waste Management License (if applicable)
- Should not have unresolved complaints against the business, products/services on environmental grounds, investigations/inquiries by regulatory authorities, fines imposed or court cases filed, and actions taken to address the concerns raised within last 3 years.
Application Form:
Applicants are advised to refer to the attached guidelines on the SLAAQP website for detailed information and requirements before completing the application. All sections of the application must be completed and if a question is not applicable or no relevant work has been undertaken, please indicate by providing an appropriate response. Responses should focus on new initiatives and improvements to existing activities carried out during three preceding years ending 31st December 2025. The length of the response may vary depending on the question. However, the word count for each section shall not exceed 750 words.
Awards:
- GOLD Award – Scores of 850 and above
- SIVER Award – Scores from 750 to 849
- BRONZE Award – Scores from 749 to 650
- MERIT Certificate – Scores from 550 to 649
- Certificate of Participation – Awarded to organizations that complete the required application and assessment requirements but do not qualify for the above awards.

Registration Fee: The registration fee must be paid by 25th September 2026 at the time of submitting the application.Examination Fee: The examination fee must be paid by 31st October 2026 at the time of submitting the required documents.
Method of Payment:
All payments must be made in full before the applicable deadline using one of the following payment methods.
